The XE1610 is a complete GPS receiver chipset optimized for high-volume, cost sensitive hand-held battery powered devices. It is based on an advanced mixed hardware/software architecture where the GPS specific hardware costs are kept to a minimum. The software portion is platform independent and is fully compatible with the requirements of fully autononous and server-based GPS receivers.
The unique features of XE1610 make it the most appropriate solution for demanding applications such as palmtops/PDAs, handheld receivers, transports/asset management, automotive, cell phones, watches/wrist instruments or toys

The XE1610 chipset, which includes an RF receiver and a specialized DSP chip, has a power consumption of less than 25 mW @ 2.7 V when in full operation.
At -143 dBm sensitivity tracking, it provides fixes even in urban canyon environment. In Autonomous mode, accuracy is <3 meters CEP (10 feet) for horizontal position and 0.1 meter/second for speed.
The solution is DGPS ready. Acquisition time is better than 42 seconds in Warm Start condition, less than 10 second in Hot Start condition. |
