The ProStart II is a programmer and a starter kit. It is used to evaluate the XE8000 products and for their development. |

The ProStart II is made up of three parts:
•RIDE-Pro integrated development environment with C-compiler, assembler, linker, debugger, simulator and the new in-socket-debugger
•Multi-Purpose Board (XE8000MP) programming interface with two serial interface to the PC, one for program download and debugger communication and one for RS-232 application
•Evaluation board (XE800EVxxx), device dependant socket that includes buttons, LED's, Xtal, a battery socket and an EEPROM with the devices' zero insertion Force socket.
