XEMICS teams up with ACAL to offer Low-Power Mixed-Signal integrated solutions in Europe     Neuchâtel, Switzerland and Mountain View, CA January 26, 1999       XEMICS announces today that it has appointed ACAL as its distributor and sales representative for ten European countries, where ACAL has subsidiaries - Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, United Kingdom, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, and Italy. ACAL will distribute XEMICS' RF wireless transceiver ICs, and ultra low power microcontrollers, as well as promote custom specific mixed signal and RF design and product delivery to OEM customers. About XEMICS SA XEMICS designs and then delivers in volume ultra low-power mixed analog, digital and radiofrequency integrated circuits, mainly for battery-operated devices. In 1998, its first year of operation, the company had revenues of 19M Swiss francs (approx. 14M USD). XEMICS markets are those for which high performance, ultra low-power and quite often miniaturization are key elements. These include: Hearing aids, watches, portable devices, utility meters, pressure and acceleration sensing systems, short distance wireless RF communication, GPS, and deeply embedded systems based on RISC and DSP cores.
