XEMICS APPOINTS JAPANESE & KOREAN DISTRIBUTORS

Neuchâtel, Switzerland and Mountain View, CA November 9, 2000

XEMICS SA has today signed distribution agreements in Japan and Korea. The agreement grants INTERNIX Inc and JEPICO Group (Japan), and CSE Co Ltd and DRUTEC Ltd (Korea) to market, sell and distribute XEMICS' full range of products including, portable battery operated, data acquisition and wireless integrated circuits.

In Japan With 9 sales offices nationwide INTERNIX Inc. together with the JEPICO group are the first to join XEMICS as its distributors in Japan. Both have been selected for their solid experience in sales and for their technical support of highly sophisticated semiconductor components. In addition complementary to theirs and XEMICS' operations, their key major accounts include Matsushita, Sony and others.

In Korea CSE Co Ltd and DRUTEC Ltd have successful and committed sales and technical support teams. In common with the distributors in Japan, they too have a solid key account base, with clients such as Samsung and Daewoo Telecom. These agreements give customers in Japan and Korea access for the first time to XEMICS' products. Fabrice Mekersi, VP Marketing and Sales said ''XEMICS' ultra low power, low voltage miniature products are ideally suited for the Japanese and Korean markets. Now with the appointment of these high quality partners, we can confidently enter these markets knowing that we can give our customers the support they deserve. XEMICS will combine its business with these partners to focus on miniaturized ultra low power applications. A first step towards this will be an intensive factory training held next week at its headquarters in Switzerland. As a result each will be qualified as a provider of XEMICS' products.''
