XEMICS SA has announced the release of CooLIB 5.0 the latest version to
its CooLIB series of ultra low-power standard cell libraries. CooLIB 5.0 is
especially targeted at battery-operated portable and miniature applications, and
is used internally by XEMICS in its range of low power ASICs and ASSP products.
CooLIB 5.0 offers substantial
power savings in IC designs, a 30% reduction in cell area as well as an
increased cell list. Low power ROM and SRAM are also available. Initially CooLIB
5.0 is available for TSMC 0.18m deep sub-micron technology, with other
technologies to follow. A free evaluation kit can be downloaded from the XEMICS'
web site.
