XEMICS today announced the appointment of Alain Dantec, 51, as its new
Chief Executive Officer.
Since 1979, Alain Dantec has made an impressive career at Matra Harris Semiconductors and Temic, holding positions as VPDevelopment, VP Technology and Manager of the Aerospace Business Unit. In 1996 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company today known as Atmel Nantes SA, after it was acquired by the Atmel group.
''I am excited to be part of XEMICS now'', says Alain Dantec. ''Its unique ultra low-power SOC technology and a portfolio of leadingproducts position XEMICS ideally to benefit from growth in many portable and battery-driven applications''.
Michel Desbard,
chairman of the board of directors, comments: ''Alain Dantec brings to XEMICS
more than 25 years of semiconductor industry experience in development,
production and marketing, as well as an extensive industry network. This will
allow XEMICS to accelerate its ASSP business growth. Our special thanks go to
Roland Heer who, as XEMICS' first CEO, has successfully completed the spinoff
from CSEM and transformed the company from essentially a service provider to
competitive standard products company.''
